Differential airshafts with strips
Our pneumatic expanding airshafts with friction rings are particularly suitable to rewind / unwind more than one roll on the same airshaft with constant tension.
The central body is made from chrome-plated and ground steel.
The steel end journals are always manufactured as per customer’s drawing.
Three types of strips having different friction rate are provided. They are to be used according to the tension required.
The strips can expand thanks to multiple bladders from high strength synthetic rubber.
A continuous air feeding by rotary union is recommended in order to ensure a correct control of pressure in the bladders and consequently of the winding tension.
They are available in diameters from min. 40 mm to max. 150 mm.
