Differential shafts with strips

Pneumatic expanding shafts with friction rings are particularly suitable for winding/unwinding multiple coils on the same shaft with constant pull.

• The central body is made of steel, treated with chrome plating and grinding. 
• The steel end journals are always manufactured according to the  customer’s drawing.
• Three types of strips with different friction rates are provided, to be used depending on the required tension.
• The expansion of the strips is achieved by means of multiple air chambers made of high-strength synthetic rubber.
• To ensure proper pressure control in the air chambers, and therefore consistent winding tension, continuous air supply with a rotary union is recommended.
