Mechanical Expanding Shafts

designed for use in machinery without a pneumatic system

Mechanical Expanding Shafts are designed for use in machinery without a pneumatic system. Expansion is achieved mechanically via a front knob that operates an internal pin, which raises steel balls to push the strips into position.

  • The central body can be made of natural aluminum or with an anodized surface treatment.
  • The end journal, which can be made of treated steel or stainless steel, is always manufactured according to the customer’s design.
  • The expandable strips are available in aluminum, rubber, polyurethane, and polyzene.
